OK, so maybe you really can't see the mud very well on my legs or shoes, but it's there.
It did not rain this morning, so I hit the road.
Today was the first day of unofficial-official training for upcoming runs -- Too Hot to Handle (Dallas, July 21) and The Crim (Flint, MI, Aug. 25).

P.S.: Note to people whose houses back up to sidewalks on streets known to have runners: TRIM YOUR FREAKING TREES.
Branch of live oak with a side of Bradford Pear leaves DOES NOT taste good.

You’ll be at the Crim? Great, we typically hang out until our beer supply runs out. Hmmm leaves! I’ve never tasted them on a run and I’m 6’, 4”!!!

"CRIM" stand for "Coolest Race in MI" for those of you who don't know. Well, actually it is named after Bobby Crim but it also stands for the above. I'll be at the Crim Coach K and you don't seem to care. Do I have to travel 1000 miles for someone to care? Ugh. I guess my ten min drive isn't impressive. Oh well. We can all gather at the Crim. I have a feeling Lizzy and I will be coming in a bit later than you overachievers!!
Amy, I am there with you, girl! Nothing wrong with bringing up the rear...people have a tendency to cheer more. :-D
We care and it isn't over achieving. The group I go with will drink all of your beer of you get in too late. I’ll be the one in my ‘Where is Amy?’ T-shirt!

Liz is making a trip to Michigan for a race? Ugh.. and I will be in Oregon that weekend running the Hood to Coast Relay. Bummer that I will miss you Liz. The CRIM is a really fun event.
Trees do not taste good at all and do not make a good replacement if you forget your gels.

i'm still sad about hood to coast, al. serves me right for buying such an expensive car. i will have to sit on my driveway the rest of my life because of it!! i really hope you have fun. and hey, is the team complete now?

Andy, that pocket on my left foot is the home for my Nike+iPod receiver. That's the thingy that talks to my iPod and tells me how many miles I have run.
It is supposed to fit neatly into a Nike running shoe, but I can't run in Nike shoes.
Al, I can't believe I'm going to miss you -- and your calves!

Or, Al, you could come to Dallas on Dec. 9 to run the White Rock Marathon!
Liz is one of those runner geek people. She has every tech thing available. She even has her own time chip!! But she is a lovable geek.
